Holly
I am trying to use up some random jars and decided to fill a couple of these with Fall mold tarts. My problem is I want to decorate the lids but need the lid to open up together....the flat part that seals with the rim part that twists. Has anyone tried hot gluing them together? My hot glue gun is not working, so I cannot test it out. I thought maybe if I turn the flat part around so the rubber part is not touching the glass it may help it untwist together when opened if they are glues together...would not put pressure on the glue as much if the rubber is not grabbing the glass. Also, are there solid lids that fit these wide mouthed canning jars? Edited September 30, 2012 by Holly
HorseScentS
If read some posts about using superglue to stick the flat part to the rim. I think Stella is one of the ones who mentioned using superglue. Edited September 30, 2012 by HorsescentS
Holly
If read some posts about using superglue to stick the flat part to the rim.Thank you! I just called my husband (he is at Walmart shopping) to pick me up a new glue gun and if it does not work, I will try superglue.P.S. Just called him and he said he has some superglue in his toolbox. I am going to give it a try. Edited September 30, 2012 by Holly
