Caw357
Hello all! I'm new to the business of candle making.....is it okay to store the FO bottles with the rubber cap droppers in them? Should I use the caps that come on the glass bottles? I just read somewhere that this is not a good practice as the rubber can break down and eventually ruin the oils.Any thoughts, ideas, advice? What do you experienced artisans normally do?Thanks! Edited June 5, 2012 by Caw357
Camay
I never use the rubber droppers with FO because I am measuring out larger amount that make the droppers impractical. But, yes, the FO will degrade the rubber over time.Candle dye also will help break down the rubber. When I see signs of degradation, I replace the dropper. Candlechem on ebay sells the droppers (with or without the bottle) for a decent price.
ksranch
I agree with Camay. I've never even seen an FO that came with a dropper!
TammyGCC
I have never seen a dropper either. I just measure using a shot glass.
blacktieaffair
Me either.. Where are the oils from, that have droppers in them ? (Im wondering if you bought them from an individual who put those there themselves, for like when doing bath and body products )
