GailC
Have any of you used the wood wicks from WSP? I made a couple of candles for my daughter and me. She said hers burned fine the first time; I haven't checked with her to see how it did the second time she lit it.Mine, however, barely burns. Just a feeble little flame, if you can even call it that. Eventually, the flame dies out. Probably because of the wick barely burning, the melt pool is not very wide, making a hole in the candle, and wasting much of the wax around the perimeter. I use GW444 soy wax, and size 4 wood wick for a 3" diameter container.
quickwick
I have tried them with CBA and they would just drown/burn out really fast. Then I doubled them up and they burned really hot with huge flames. And I had zero HT (surprise surprise). More money down the drain for me.
