PoiToy
I'm trying to wick beeswax votives and it just is not working. I'm using square braid and started with 1/0...now I'm up to #3 (the largest I can fit through the hole the mold pin leaves) and the dern things still will not reach FMP and the flame drowns after a couple of hours. Do I need to find a way to go up a wick size or just write off this batch of beeswax? What wick size do yall typically use for beeswax votives? EricofAZ
Might want to try a different wick. The ply wicks work pretty good and they should fit through the hole. I think what you're looking for is a hotter flame and not necessarily a larger diameter wick. I've also had success with ECO's. One thing also to keep in mind is that the beeswax may not be as pure as you need for wicking. Might need to filter it.
Pam W
How much fragrance are you using?
Flicker
I usually find a 1/0 does well. BUT is it fully filtered? Dark or light in color? Are you adding scent? What one and how much if yes?
