iluvcandles
I would like to try it but would like some personal experience from others first.
IwantItgreen
Someone just posted about choosing this wax over another one. Did you use the search feature?
iluvcandles
I did use the search feature and that was the only post that popped up. I assumed she was really just basing her opinion on price rather than stating why she liked 416. I also searched for Golden Brand, the only posts that came up were ones for 415, 444, and 464 they were posts from the present to 4 years ago. What I'm asking is how does 416 compare to the other tart wax that NG offers? or How does it compare to other tart waxes? Is it harder than most waxes? I see that it can be added to other waxes to make them harder. How is the Hot Throw? How much scent did you put in your wax? What size room did you test it in?ty
mzphee
this is the wax I use and I like it, BUT I have only tried one other which is the ecosoya PB, you can email Kris @ Gateway and she will send you a sample to try before you buy it here is the website www.gatewayfoodproducts.com..HTH
Spellkast
I'm getting a sample of this and the 464 on Tuesday- if you give me until Thursday after they cure, I can answer all of your questions!

Dolphinbear
I use the Pillar of Bliss from NG and am really happy with it for my tarts and votives..I am also interested in the reviews for the 416 wax..
iluvcandles
Update: I bought a box of it to test and so far I'm not liking how it doesn't pop out of the molds. I had to stick them in the freezer for a minute then they popped out. I haven't tested them yet, going to today. I wonder if anyone had any success using silicone molds with this wax?? That's what I'm going to try today along with color, my first batch isn't colored and they look like 415 when I tested that years ago, I used to pour my left over wax in my tart molds. iluvcandles
I bought a case of 416 wax and poured a few scents that threw excellent in my Ecosoya PB, with no color.1) I don't like how they don't come out of metal molds, I have to pop them in the freezer to get them out.2) Looks like 415 wax, years ago when I tested it I would pour the extra into tart molds and 416 looks exactly like it.3) So far the 2 scents that I tested Pumpkin Spice NG doesn't have any HT and Sugar Cookie NG doesn't have any HT either. Little disappointed, hope I didn't waste my money on a whole case.I'm going to pour some other scents to test, add some color, and see how they pop out of silicone molds. So how has everyone elses turned out?Ok just saw the last post that I thought it didn't post. I did have to place in the freezer for a few of my metal molds but not all. I havent tried it with clamshells yet but its my next trial. did you say you mixed it with the ecosoya PB and it didnt work? im going to try mixing it with a little igi 4794 and also igi 6006 and see how it works. its the cheapest case of tart wax I can get $78 including shipping so I really want it to work for me
iluvcandles
No i didn't mix it with my ecosoya pb but now i might try that. I just poured some in silicone molds today and added color to it.. I know it frosted crazy when i didn't add color i'm a little scared to see what it will do with color. Clamshells will be next, will do those tomorrow. I think i'm going to retest the first 2 tarts by sending them off to family and friends because my sniffer might be off. I'm getting a cold. Will update when i have more results.

iluvcandles
Update: 416 isn't the wax for me I was hoping that it would of been since it's $20 cheaper than my wax and that's including shipping. I have my set scents that i sell throughout the year. Out of 20 scents, 10 threw well. Looks like i'm back to the drawing board. I did mix it with my Ecosyo PB and if anything it hindered the throw of it.
