Snuff Gear
Could use some suggestions for coloring 6006 w/Creme Brulee FO. I tried Maize...not right. Also just tried Golden Honey/Vanilla liquid dye from Peak and they look like something my dog would do in the backyard! Think I'll call this batch of melts....Doggy Doo!Thanks
Stella1952
Sometimes the brulee gets too much torch...Call the dark ones roasted vanilla bean...You didn't mention your batch size... mixing colors for eensy weensy batches is tough, but it can be done by dipping a toothpick in liquid dye or using a teensy shaving of solid color... For a golden vanilla color, I would use brown and yellow, or tan & yellow, but just a little bit of both... The Golden Honey/Vanilla sounds right - just like you may have used too much... Snuff Gear
Thanks Stella. 25oz's of the 6006. Probably just too much.
debscent
When I wanted a darker ivory I would put the liquid dye dropper on the tip of a toothpick and add the color that way. It worked.
CandleMakinCutiePie
I have used a dye chip called french vanilla in creme brulee. It makes it a cream color.I got those particular dye chips from ebay through fancy cat candles I think.
