EnvyCandles
My most recent delivery of apothecary jars have insanely tight fitting lids. Any ideas on how to make them a little bit looser?
Twoscentsworth
if they have plastic around them you can take very fine sandpaper and go around them..hold a sheet of sandpaper in your hand and rotate the bottom of the lid in one direction. If the problem is at the very bottom of the lid you could also shave a bit of the plastic off using a very sharp craft knife.
SliverOfWax
I never thought of sandpaper. Might have to try that. I got some years ago that fit so tightly I never even bothered to pour most of them. The ones that I did pour, I smeared a thin layer of vaseline around the fitment. It helped.

BTW- supplier said that I can use vitamin E or olive oil(although they do not recommend it lol), but that the lids were supposed to be tight. They suggested I keep opening and closing them...
