Georgia
I asked in off topic and didn't get a response so I thought I would try the crafty peeps...I learn so much odd stuff on this board, so I thought I would ask... :rolleyes2I have a glass top patio table with a hole in the center for an umbrella. It got knocked over in a horrid wind storm. The table didn't break, but the plastic ring in the center broke and I can only find one half. I know I can order a new ring, but I was wondering if I could just round the hole with Sculpy clay. Would it be too brittle when it dries? Desertrose
Hi, you may have already fixed your problem but yes I reckon you could use polymer clay to fix a number of things and no it's not brittle when dry. Only thing is it need to be baked in the oven so you would have to form the piece and bake it then insert and glue (perhaps?) it in. Keep in mind that polymer clay does tend to expand ever so slightly when baked and larger pieces would need more time in the oven.
