littysmom
Ok , I made CP soap today. It never got past thin trace. I poured it into the molds, because I didn't know what else to do. I still have a small amt in the bottom of the pot, which has thickened over the past 20 min. I think maybe it is the heavy whipping cream. I used 3/4 of the heavy cream, and 1/4 water. Is there anything I can do with it if it doesn't harden in the molds? Oh geeze. I hope I don't have to throw it out !!Anybody got any suggestions ??Thanks ~ Lisa
LovelyLathers
With out seeing your recipe it is tough to say. Can you post it? Some things though are:Scale off? Lye bad? Too much water and cream? A lot of Olive oil? Soap temp too cool? Did you let it gel, that will help it along.

The only thing I did differently with my recipe, was use the heavy cream. Wow.. I prayed alot last night. "Thank you Lord"~ Thanks for wanting to help!Lisa
Kitn
Good news..I use heavy cream in every batch, I never have a problem with achieving trace. Was your recipe high in olive oil?
