mcquay5 Posted October 22, 2010 Share Posted October 22, 2010 I use the 4630 wax,1oz pp. i tried the htp104 ,htp105, lx18 & 51-32-18z . The one that has given me no soot or smoke has been the zinc , but the melt pool took 5 hrs to get full & still has a low scent throw. I using 12oz regular mason jars & let the candle sit for 1.5 days before lighting it (should I wait longer?). I'm thinking I need to increase the wick size, could somebody please let me know what is the next size wick after 51z.? The 51z worked in my 8oz jjs great...I have read through these threads for 2 weeks & I have learned soooo much from you wonderful candlemakers.
