chakka
I have been trying to get this wax wicked properly. I really like the way it pours and they look absolutely flawless in my status jars. No frost, no bubbles, no crusty tops. I really love that. BUT....and it's a big but....I can not seem to find a decent wick for this wax. I've used the following, 60-44-18c, CD18, performa120, WI640, CD12, HTP104For those of you that use this wax in a status jar, what wick is working for you? I'm nearly bald from tearing my hair out! Thanks all for your help!
soy327
I have used a CD16 And sometimes the CD18. What exactly is the problem you are having? Are you burning all the way down? Is it leaving too much hangup? What FO are you finding trouble with?Soy327
chakka
On this test burn, I am using a CD18, using CB Xcel, 6% FO, dye chips are being used, Lonestars, Autumn Harvest. Perhaps I should be happy with this, but I think it's not doing the best it could be doing...if that makes any sense. It has a decent hot throw but I am not getting a decent melt pool at all. Plus, it does hang up on one side. Should I be satisfied with a decent hot throw with a little hang up on one side? I'm thinking that perhaps going up to a CD20 might be the trick. Thanks for reading!
