MaggieMay
I personally wouldn't use tins, the rust issue unless they were stainless steel..Just a thought.I've poured in ceramic bowls, short squat coffee mugs..HTH"SHugs Maggie
josie1091
cottonblossomcrafts.com has very nice ones. My customers buy them. I sell a container with one soap wrapped like a small basket or as a set with brush and brush holder.
kyme1911
These are the ones I plan on getting, I have a branding iron I want to brand the lid. I hope this link works, Kingsley Wood shaving bowls.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000068U49/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00161BF06&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0KPF7F01NT7Z3CFDB193
evergreen
kyme1911,Those look very nice. It should look great with a brand on the cover. Do you plan to wrap the shaving soap? I think parchment paper would be a nice touch.

josie1091
If your soap is round to fit in the container, try using coffee filters. You need a 3 inch piece of PVC pipe. Put the soap in the filter in the pipe. It works great. Does not look like a coffee filter. It creases it and then you put the round sticker on it. evergreen
I think the unbleached wax paper would be more flexible than the parchment and should be a good choice.
evergreen
Wouldn't a coffee filter absorb superfatting oil or fragrance/essential oils? Edited October 1, 2010 by evergreen
MissMori
Speaking of paper, where do you get paper on the cheap? I've always used regular laser printer paper and printed my own cigar band labels. I'd like to start wrapping my round soaps (actually typed soup, hehe) in nice paper.
