DaisyFairy
ugh! This new wax is killing me! lol...I was wicking votives with a cd4... does not get full melt pool with this new wax even thought he melt point is only 133... tried a cd5 and that just seems to tunnel worse and burn up the wax quicker. I need to know if anyone knows of a chart or something somewhere that gives which wicks burn hotter and all that info and includes cd wicks. I know zinc would probably work well but I really like the throw I am getting with cd wicks and I hate those zinc mushrooms. thanks DaisyFairy
DaisyFairy
also.. just out of curiosity... does cold weather effect how a candle burns.. we are having sleet and extremely cold temps today.. and the cd4's seemed to be ok yesterday.. I mean they weren't burning great but they would have caught up.. but not today. DaisyFairy
topofmurrayhill
Cold and sleet will definitely affect the candle if you put it outside. There is wick test data at http://www.wicksunlimited.com/candle_wicks.php. For the CD test info look under Heinz Stabilo.

DaisyFairy
thanks for the link... that helped a lot. LOL... outside.. well.. I was burning them in a drafty room and it just dawned on me the melt pool might not be getting hot enough due to the draft. thanks again.DaisyFairy
