Gypsyjen
This company claims that their crystal candles are not only soy, but 100% soy!! I know this has been discussed before, but how would I address a customer who might ask why my soy candles aren't the pretty crystal kind?? santa mad Is there ANY technique which would create this kind of effect in soy?http://www.kaylomacandles.com/
mbroom2005
I dont know how on earth they could be 100% soy?? I have some of that crystal wax.. actually it is the feather kind and it is a blend. I think they are blowing smoke?? Maybe I am wrong but 100% to me means ALL SOY and I just don't think that finish is possible with soy.Mark

Gypsyjen
Here's another site that sells her candles:http://www.abigailsgiftshop.com/candleskayloma.htmlNotice on this one it says: 100% Vegetable Blend Crystal Feather waxNow THAT would make more sense. I'm just very irate that her website leads you to believe you are purchasing a candle made with 100% soy wax.
siberia
There is no such thing as crystal soy wax that is 100% soy. Feathering/crystal wax is a palm product. I do know that for some reason there seems to be an increase in the number of people trying to perpetrate this fraud. I suppose it is due to an increase in soy wax popularity. Misleading information as well as down right lying makes me :mad:grrrrrr. If you really want to go crazy (at least it makes me crazy) do a Google on "soy carcinogens". :rolleyes2 Some people will say anything in order to sell their products. Beth-VT
...and they even say "their" wicks don't have to be trimmed. Knuckleheads.
Kaybee23
You can't get soy to crystalize like that. http://www.kaylomacandles.comIt has to be palm or a veggie blend. The Strahl & Pitsch crystalline waxes will give you that look or any of the palms.
