latch
i am one of the people who dosent care for making tons of votives, i have to say i dont mind making a few batches every now and then.. I was thinking about making votives to give to customers to try new scents or just that little something extra,, or could this be too costly, does anyone do this? i thought about scented tealights also just to get someone open to try new scents. kinda like complimentary scents you get from FO companys. Bev
When I have a customer who purchases two or more candles, I usually throw in a votive in a different fragrance as a free gift. I used to throw in tarts but not everyone uses a tart burner while most everyone will burn a votive. (And if they don't, they can always give it away to someone else as a gift ... free advertising for me!)
sudsnwicks
I think it's a good idea. Votives and tarts are the lowest cost items to give away, but as Bev pointed out, not everyone might have a tart warmer. It's more likely they'll have a votive holder, and if they don't, they can easily get one for $1 at any drugstore, compared with something like $15-20 for a tart warmer.
