TwinMom
I found some rustic looking buckets perfect for outside candles but was wondering if anyone has any ideas what to line the inside edges with to prevent leaking? Some sort of glue? Thanks
deb426
Could you post a pic? Or could you put a small jar inside for the candle?
TwinMom
Could you post a pic? Or could you put a small jar inside for the candle?Good idea with small jar inside. It looks like a corona bucket but the bottom looks like it could leak so wondering what to put on the inside along the bottom edges
deb426
Some of those types of containers do leak. I don't know of any glue that I would trust to seal them for candlemaking.
psfponies
If your going to use glue you better make sure you get one that has a high melt temp. the glue may end up melting when your melt pool gets down to the bottom.I think going with glass containers sounds like your best bet.Kay
TxSioux
I've always used Outdoor Mod Podge to seal bucket seams & terra cotta containers. I've never had a leak & even w/ a huge wick the glue doesn't come loose or pose any risk of fire. There are lots of posts here that you may want to search.HTH - Susan. Maggie
Same here.....modge podge. I "paint" the inside a couple of times.I've made citronella buckets with huge wicks that we use around our pool area and have never had a problem with leaking wax.
