ECO wicks

Recommended Posts

Well I got some of these awhile back but never got around to trying them out...I am a huge fan of CD wicks and so far into the test burn..ECO's are even better!!!Zinc although burns very nicely..generally mushrooms huge..cd flame is steady but sometimes gets too big...with the eco..so far no mushrooms and burns at a little slower rate than the cd's but a nicer overall flame. :highfive:

May I ask which wax you use or which type? I use J50 and zinc wicks. I like zincs for the most part, but I see that Candle Science recommends ECO wicks with J50. I have been wanting to try them to see how they compare. Glad to hear you like them.

Thanks,

Lisa

I use 4630, which I believe is pretty close to the J waxes...it is pretty soft. I was using zinc too..but am trying to get rid of the shrooms. with the eco 2-3 hours burn and no shroom! I am going to powerburn it tomorrow.

Jokerjen,

Thanks, they sound great. No more shrooms:grin2: Do you get as good of scent throw with the ECO's as you did the zincs? I'm really pleased with the scent throw I've been getting, which is why I've hesitated trying a new wick. I just might have to get off my lazy butt and give these a try.

Ya, I felt the same but a few months back, I got a bunch of samples....and to be completely honest, the throw is just as good, if not better! I have a lavender Jelly Jar that I brough home to test tonight and it is filling my dining room, living room and kitchen..basically the enitire main floor.

I switched from LX to eco two years ago because of mushrooming. I think the eco has a pretty flame. It does curl so you have to deal with that but overall I'm glad I switched. I still use LX on really small containers.

Alright, my minds made up, I'm going to give them a try. The only downfall I see is the smaller wicks are only 3" in length. I guess I could always buy a spool of the smaller sizes and tab my own if needed. Thanks for the input ladies.
