Let's see, I do that with Peak Honeysuckle, and I do it with my lavender/spearmint EO blend.I seem to have less problems with them that way - they are more diluted so when the lye hits it gives me a little extra time, it seems. For me, i seem to get a truer color if i add the color in just after i add the FO. If i add before trace, some of the colors do not hold true. This is interesting, I hadn't heard of it before. Something to keep in mind - a definite alternative to doing the more finicky FOs with HP.
