CandleMama6
Hi All,There is not a store local that sells meringue powder so I contacted a bakery supply company that is local. They will sell me the meringue powder for $5.00 lb.Is this a good price? Thanks!!
Blest2BAmerican
Have you looked at Michael's and Walmart. It is carried in the cake decorating section.
CandleMama6
I have not looked at Michaels, but Wal-Mart, Albertsons, Smiths, Harmons, etc.... none of the grocery stores carry it anymore.I will have to check Michaels through. Not sure what a good price is for it. van_yulay
That is an excellent price, take it and run. The meringue powder from wilton cost that much for a 4.0Z size. I bought my from a baker for 9.95 for 8.0Z . Yikes.. Killer deal!
Judy, USMC
The price range I've seen is anywhere from $10 to $15 per pound ... then add shipping on top of that.
CandleMama6
Then I guess I'll pay the $5 lb and pick it up on Monday. It is for 10 lbs so I guess I'll post in the classifieds for the extra cause it will take forever to go through that much. She told me I could 50 lbs if I wanted for something like $4.70 lb but I decided I would probably be dead and buried before I ever used that much!!Thanks all for the help.BTY: I just got a call back from one of the grocery stores I had talked to and they will order me some in for $20 for 8 oz!! Don't think so!!!Maybe that was why they stopped carrying it. Way to high in price and perhaps not enough demand for it.
