Christine Flapp
I melted beeswax in the micro but the temp was too high & it exploded. Any ideas how to clean it up? Thank you.
CareBear
I'd let it harden and chip and scrape it out. Use a credit card as a scraper (that's the only use my Victoria's Secret card gets). If you want to soften it, put cups of water in there and then run the microwave, but be sure to let it sit a minute before opening the oven so your water doesn't "pop" and splatter you. Lyndsay
Yeah, I was going to recommend melting it again and then wiping it up.
beekeeper_sd
My suggestion would be to scrape as much wax out as you can with a credit card or plastic scraper, then use Goo Gone to wipe the microwave out. Next time, don't melt beeswax in the microwave. You're lucky it only popped. Beeswax is highly flammable!!!
