van_yulay
How does everyone make curls. I took a peeler and did it, but mine are thin. I see really thick curls.. ?
Lisasoaps
I use a carrot peeler and just add pressure to get a thicker curl. I have also been experamenting with the different shavers on a cheese grater. You can also pour a thin layer of soap in your mold and once it starts to harden pop it out and roll it up while its still warm and pliable then just embed it in your soap. When you slice your mold you'll have the curly look in it.
Kitn
A mandolin makes awesome curls , you can adjust the thickness , just be careful those things are 20 kinds of sharp .

Starr
I make round pieces of soap then cut it with a small paring knife.
Firefly
Kitn,I own a mandolin and never thought of using it for M&P. Now that's a smart idea. Now I can't wait for work to be over so I can go home and try it out. Dreaming of soap ideas already.
asheebeans
I use a cheese slicer. (one of the adjustable ones) It works out nicely because I can control whether I want thick or thin slices!
8-GRAN-ONES
another thing...i learned on another forum.but i have not tried it yet..if your soap is cured and kind of hard..put it in the microwave for just a few short second bursts..it will soften it..grate it...and then roll it..just be very careful you don't over heat..as it will melt..
