Best Mix for 4630 & C3

Recommended Posts

From reading some old posts on here and from what I understand if you are going to mix your own blend of the 4630 & C3 waxes. Is it better to do a 50/50 mix rather than a 70/30?

The 70/30 is what we are currently using and it seems to giving us a very nice candle. I am just wondering if the 50/50 mix would give us a better hot/cold throw. We are also using about 1/2 tsp per lb of coconut oil, which we feel is definitely helping the wax.

I read someones post that said that it is very hard to do your own 70/30 mix and get a good combination that really works.

We are heating the wax to about 185 and then pouring around 170 and it is giving us a nice creamy looking candle with very little wet spots but I was just curious if we would get better results doing half & half.

I guess if noone has any ideas we will just need to try it and see the difference and post our results.
