Paulette
Performance wax? I did a 4 oz jelly jar with a 51z and it burned for 5 hours and I still didn't have a full meltpool. Think I will try a LX20 and see if it burns different.
sudsnwicks
I have been using 4786 and wondered the same thing, especially given that their votive wax is recommended for use with 44Z, instead of the standard 36Z. So I emailed them to ask if I would need to wick up for the container wax, and they told me I shouldn't have to, and that its wicking is very similar to 4786. I haven't actually tried it yet, plan to start testing it in the next week or two, so this is just what I've found out so far.
Paulette
Thanks Suds, I used J223 before. I love the way Peaks wax looks and very few wet spots some don't have any. What wick do you use in your JJ? thanks
sudsnwicks
I use 8 oz jj, standard width, not the wide width, and 44-24-18z wick was working just great. So I'm hoping it will work out with the new wax too. You could try emailing them to ask for their advice on how wicking differs from J223 and whether they recommend wicking up.
