topofmurrayhill
I can't tell you much but I'll tell you what I know.Fatty alcohols have some limited candlemaking uses. I have seen patents for candle wax compositions that include them. Cetyl is not always the ideal one to use, but it's the easiest to get in straight form from suppliers of B&B chemicals.I have a pail of cetyl alcohol that I haven't gotten around to doing much with. Unless someone hands you a formula it could take a lot of research to figure out what it's good for, how much to use, and what other materials to blend it with.
