CandleChic
Hi all,Has anyone tried this? I did see where 1 person did this and am wondering what wax and wick? I use the j223 and 52z and am thinking it would work in these. I love the look better than the square masons and can save my veggie cans to make them.If you do make these do they sell or go over well??? I make wickless most the time but like wicked to..Any advice/help would be appreciated!!!Thanks,Linda
Candlebuddy
I've done these before. I use 6006 wax with 60z wicks. I also grubby the cans for a very country/prim look, put a hang tag on, or tie some homespun around the can. Customers who like the country or primitive style, love these candles. CandleChic
Candlebuddy,Have you tried the 51's with them? The last wax I used was 6006 and if that works well I'll just keep getting the 6006 but have lots of the 51's I need to use up..I just ran out of 6006 and was gonna order the j223 for ther squares, but if I'm gonna do the tins and the 6006 works well and the 51's then I'm set,lol.60 sounds big,but if that's what works then I'll order those!! Candlebuddy
I mixed some soy into the 6006, so the 60z's worked well. Mixing in soy helped me to eliminate the sink holes around the wicks that I was getting.
CandleChic
I don't use soy, but I'm gonna give it a try with the 223 and 51's and see what happens..maybe these will work..
Candlebuddy
I bet they will ... the 6006 already has soy in it, so with mixing in more soy, I had to use the 60z. Good luck.
