CandleMkrInTN
The Doller General store sells the cutest 3.5 oz ball mason jar candles. I can't seem to find the jars online, so I thought about buying them and scooping out the wax. What do you think?? Does anyone know where to get these jars? Starr
I've seen 4oz Jars at Wal-Mart, REALLY wanna pick up a flat of those. Otherwise, no. If you find them though, please share?
Georgia
I confess, I did! I bought some dollar store candles and melted the wax out of them. I used the wax for fire starters and made candles in the jars. I don't recommend it for large quantities, but it's doable.
OverSoyed
I wanted to do that with Wal-Marts 4oz apoth. jars. They are like $.45 each. Much cheaper than ordering the glass online and having it shipped. But you do have to worry about the quality of the glass after melting it out. CandleMkrInTN
Well...I did it. I bought the remainder of what was less. They were only $.25 each!! I just cleaned them out and had to hold my nose Gagging the entire time!!
Debra Phelps
You can clean out any jar you want and make a candle. Except ones with brand names etched in them.
KimRitchie2008
I just bought a case of 4oz jelly jars with lids at Meijers on Thursday. They were only 8.49 for 12. They are cute to make with the extra wax that is leftover, my husband likes them better then the 8oz or the 12oz ones. I like the 8oz best. But they are cute!!!!
