Wildcrafter
Can I do this myself in my vitamix, food processor or coffee grinder?Does anyone grind their own loofah?
Meridith
I've never ground my loofah myself but I grind up all kinds of stuff in my food processor with no problems- or should I say my bath and body processor since its never been used for food. I'd give it a try. Unless you are worried about ruining your grinders, which is understandable.
TexasBrat
I have not tried but have thought of it. I just love ground loofah in soaps.
Wildcrafter
I'm wondering if it CAN be ground in food processors, etc., since loofah is so fibrous. I'd like to find out if anyone has done this successfully. I suppose I will try it and see myself. I was looking for a quick answer.
Meridith
Be sure to let us know how it goes. I would think it would work. Or you can always buy it already ground up.
Jola
It has to be able to be done since you can buy it pre ground. I would maybe try to find a mini food processor on sale or pick one up cheap at a yard sale or thrift store so you don't ruin your good one.
