Winter_Willow
Stupid question but is all palm wax the same or is it like soy, differs from batch to batch? Any problems with dyes? Any opinions on who has the best between CS and GL? Thanks,
Debbie73
I have not used soy wax, but I do use palm wax, mainly the glass glow, which is used for containers. I get mine from Candle Science and from Peaks, and as far as I can tell they are the same wax. I do not notice a difference from one batch to the next. It does take dye well. I use between 5-6% FO. They also have a frost palm, which does make a nice candle, but I just like the look of the glass glow better. Hope that this helps!
Winter_Willow
Thank you for answering my questions. Someone told me that they used 2oz. FO pp on the palm. I was thinking to myself what a waste of wax, FO and $
WhitePineCandle
I am finding that with frost palm you need to use more dye to achieve the same shade in paraffin.
CandleMkrInTN
I just got my first bag of Glass Glow and can't wait to get home. ((I think I'm feeling sick:tiptoe: )) I have heard nothing but good about this wax. Hot and Cold throw has good reviews and from what I understand, you can't get a bad looking candle. Stella1952
from what I understand, you can't get a bad looking candle....well... that's relative! Pour it too cool and/or cool it too fast and it won't come out as expected...
