shafferbuns
Currently using z wicks, testing a lx right now, thinking of testing cd.For jj's, if the wick burns hotter, does that have any effect on the jar, for instance w/a hotter burning wick will the jar be warmer?Kim
candleessence
It really depends on the size of the wick compared to the diameter of the jar. You could use zinc wicks in a jar & if its over wicked, end up with a very hot jar still.
Glowlite
The hotness of the jar isn't the only concern. If you have a wick that burns hotter than others your melt pool may become too deep.

If you have a wick that burns hotter than others your melt pool may become too deep.so question out of curiousity....why is there a concern if the melt pool becomes too deep when the wickless candles are one big melt pool. I'm guessing because the wick is hotter than the warmer? and the flame factor? still learning here....
Glowlite
If your melt pool is too deep you run the risk of the wick falling over into the melt pool...It could drown out and then you have a crappy candle or worse it could ignite.
