sassyQ
When doing tarts what wax is best? A blend or straight paraffin? If you choose a blend do you pick one that has a higher FO load? TIA!
countyline
I love IGI 4794 for my tarts. I mix it about 75/25 with EZ Soy (same as 415, I think?) to increase the FO load, and I just like the creamier appearance it gives. Happy tart-making. They're addictive! justrightcandles
I use the votive 4794 too. countyline, what is the fo load for the 415?do you market that as a parasoy?
Sherl
I use a combination of my container was and a votive/pillar wax.
SouthernGal
I'm so glad I saw this thread. I love my GB416 cause it has a higher f/o load than most votive waxes. I never thought of mixing a little of my container paraffin in it to work out the kinks until now.
Fern-Marie
I use GB...never had a problem with straight soy. Just follow the instructions.Use what suits you. Just play with it a bit, you'll be just fine - promise.Fern-Marie
coffeebean
I use straight ecosoya pillar blend, FO and color nothing else.
Jess05
I use ecosoya pb, and have a awesome cold and hot throw No complaints here!
countyline
I think the FO load of 415 is 10%. I use about 9% in my melts. I enjoy doing things to excess, I guess.
WhitePineCandle
From my experience, 4625 gave a poor scent throw, probably because it's melting point is so high.
beechcreekcandles
Candelwic's CSP-1 is great for our soy votives and pillars.....great throw hot and cold.
coconut
Astorlite V for me-one pour and great throw. Comes in pellets so it is easy to work with too.
