To avoid ash, try covering your soap and not peeking until its ready to unmold. Wrapping your mold better to insulate will help to get full gel. Denise06 Posted October 21, 2008 Author Share Posted October 21, 2008 well, still new to soap making ,I have the tendacy to peek (i know I shouldnt) LOL well i just made it yesterday, but i have it in my other batch of soap too no zap in that one. this one just a little zap. If you just unmolded the soap that still has zap, give it some time and check for zap again. Sometimes it takes a few days for the soap to settle down.
