felixncharlie
just wondering if there are any lid options out there besides plastic?also when pouring soy what do you think is a good test starting point for wick size.I have htp-cd-zinc-lx sampler packs and just need an idea where to start.I have been using an 8 to 9 % FO load for testing. cindym
Need more info please, maybe a pic of the jar. Width of the jar. Of course you will need to test each fo for wick size.
candlelady
I purchased some brown frosted tumblers from a supplier that didn't have the lid, so I went to Fillmore Container and they had it. You can request a sample I believe. www.fillmorecontainer.comAlso, I used CB Adv in an 11 oz. tumbler and used a 60 zinc and it burned wonderfully.Might want to specify what soy wax you are using too. That will help in your post, and possibly the size of the container..HTHCarrie
Grumpy Girl
Depends on your wax with these jars.Soy: good starting point with a CD is a 16Parasoy and paraffin usually a 44z depending on the FO.As for lids, I go to Rikes.
Guest meredean
I just started using these jars and so far Ive been using a cd 12 with soy and with a blend. As for the lids I just got the plastic lid that you can buy on gl ,they look fine and with the way everything is costing why pay a buck for a lid that someone is more then likely gonna throw away. felixncharlie
oops, I forgot to add .....the soy I have been testing is 464 and the Carisa tumbler is 2 1/2 diameter. Thanks everyone.
felixncharlie
Oops again, I did get the plastic lid from GL but there is no hole in it so David @ GL said to poke a hole so the lid fits nice.If I were to do this, is there a good way to do it so it looks nice and does not bend the edges say from a hole punch??? Grumpy Girl
Use a piece of foam under it and a needle.
Guest meredean
My hubby did mine with a drill. They are perfect sized holes and he did several at once.
AntoniasCreations
oops, I forgot to add .....the soy I have been testing is 464 and the Carisa tumbler is 2 1/2 diameter. Thanks everyone.I dont use your wax or that tumbler but for that size jar I would start with a CD 10, a CD 8 might work too but to me the CD 12 seems really hot.HTH Antonia
