valerie6
Hi, My scale had a malfunction and did not measure the wax right so I was wondering can I put my candle in the oven and melt out the wax and remelt the wax out of my pour pot and remeasure the amount of wax and add the rest of the scent it needs or is this totally a loss? Thanks for any thoughts on this have not had this happen before. The wax is 6006.Thanks,Valerie
Toni S.
Hi Val,Your candle isn't a loss! Just remelt and add the correct amount as needed. Try and keep the wax at the original heating temp. when you remelt because you don't want to loose your fragrance oil strength. In other words, don't get the wax too hot!! smokymountainraine
When I've remelted I warm the glass container just enough to get the wax out...even cut the wax in chunks in the container...because I don't like re-heating glass too much.
