TartAddict
Hi all I'm just wondering how much FO you guys put in your tarts. I try to load mine up. My last batch I put in .5 oz in 4 oz wax (I just made a small batch to test it out). So far, so good! No seeping at all. Some are strong, others are so-so. Just wondering if I'm the only one who pushes the wax to the limit!
Candle Man
I don't see why you can't. I use a votive/pillar wax that I add additives to and I use 1 1/2oz per LB.
nbkfdu4
What type of wax are you using? I am having an awful time with the heavy scents. Last night I used equal amounts of C-3 & V-1. I still see a vapor when they are burning. I even cut down from uing 10% to 7% FO. I've had this happen on my banana nutbread and Smores. I'm going to test more. I have an order for banana nutbread and don't want my tarts putting off a vapor. Thanks
Georgia
I use 9% on some, but you have to test. I can't use that much on warm pumpkin crush or it smokes to high heaven. But then it was so strong anyway, 9% was serious overkill.
Scent Cellar
.5 oz of f/o to 4 oz wax is the equilavent to 2 oz f/o to 1 lb wax and I think that is way too much. If you need to scent that strongly I think you should choose different f/o's that give better throw using less per lb of wax.
