chris77
Ok, as you can tell I have the day off today...thus all of the posts from me.So I made some votives and capped the top 1/4 inch or so with scented white wax. My wick is being choked out by the white. Is there anything I can do to top off the candles with a cream fragrance...ya know, like peaches n cream, without choking out the wick? Thanks
Pam W
Maybe try clear wax w/a little vybar?? or clear w/a bunch of mottling oil?? Just a thought.
Margaritamama
I use Yaleys white block, and have not had any problems. I use it for my coconut FO candles, and they burn great!

Margaritamama
I use only a few shavings, probably a 1/16th of the bar - just enough to give it a white creamy look........

Candle Kitty
I actually use the Universal Additive and my white is usually very white.
Pam W
I used 1 drop liquid white for 1-2 oz wax.I think 1 drop for 1-2 oz is a lot. I usually start w/1 drop per pound and work up from there.
topofmurrayhill
CK has it right. Apart from overdips, you get white wax by making it opaque. Just about any additive works. Stearic (10%), Universal Additive, Vybar, Gloss Poly, Elvax. The last two are great for that if you want to bother melting them. White dye isn't dye but pigment - white powder floating in your wax and clogging up your wick.
