chris77
So most of my dyes work well. However, I have problems with Ivory. No matter how hot my wax is, when I put the dye in it's like it solidifies. I stir stir stir stir stir and stir some more and I have little Ivory flecks that swim around in my wax. I've tried warming the dye first and that doesn't help. Does anyone else in here have that kind of trouble with any of their liquid dyes?Chris
SatinDucky
I've never had that happen. You could just use brown to make it instead. Put one drop in an ounce of wax and let it harden. Shave off tiny bits until you get the amount color you want. If it's still too dark, melt it and add another ounce of wax. Personally I pour the colored wax into flat candy mint patty molds and make color chips of it. Easier to get more consistant colors.
