bthouse
I have a temperature question for those of you who blend soy and paraffin for container candles. How do you decide the pouring temperature when you are blending? Say you did the 70/30 ratio, since normally soy is poured cooler and paraffin higher, would you perhaps pour at the normal soy temp or adjust it upward. Also, when melting do you just melt them in the same pot or add together when melted.I know I will obviously be testing if I combine, but the temp question had me curious.ThanksKathy
R.S.
you will have to pour higher if doing a blend, but you will have to test to find the right number. As a starting point, you could take a weighted average of the pouring temp for soy and the pouring temp for paraffin and start there.
