fiftycupsofcoffee
I am a newbee and have little knowage of such things but I was wondering if you can use bee's wax for container candles? Is it to hard for a good melt pool? Thanks in advance, Connie:o
Henryk
Because of the wick sizes you need for beeswax you'll find your containers will get VERY hot. If that doesn't scare you what will happen also is because BW will pull away from glass you'll get seepage of the meltpool wax between the glass and the wax - not very pretty looking.I think you'll find that if you order some BW container candles from reputable BW candle makers you'll find they wick them to leave a shell. This has been my experience anyway, and IMO its too good of a wax (not to mention expensive) to waste it leaving a shell.IMO BW is best for pillars and tapers (and for use to blend with other waxes or as an additive). fiftycupsofcoffee
Thank you so much for your reply. I have not made any candles yet, I am still in the research stage. Thanks again, Connie
