nbkfdu4
I've never had this happen before., but then again I have only been doing this for 3 months..... I was trying a new scent called Smores from Snowtop. I used 3/4 of an ounce to 8 ounces of C-3. The throw is great but I noticed smoking coming from the bowl.....I'm using a ceramic tart burner as I have with all other tarts. I added the same amount of FO as I have to my other tarts. Maybe I need to use less FO.Has anyone else encountered this?
clc404
I use the same wax for containers. Never used for tarts. I use 1 oz per pound of wax. You may need to cut back. Have you tried the V-1 for votives or pillars thats what I use for tarts.Hope this helpsclc404Cheryl C
nbkfdu4
I got some V-1 and mixed 1/2V1 & 1/2C3. In the middle of the tart it has a circle crack in the middle. I have not burned yet as it's still setting up. When I just used C3 I got a smooth top with no cracks. What type wax do others use for their tarts? Thanks
bugtussle
The wax is not smoking like in "hot", the scent is heating up and releasing into the air. Same reaction as when you stir FO into hot wax, you can see FO releasing.
nbkfdu4
Yes it's like a vapor. Is this harmful?
bugtussle
I don't think so. I'm sure a candle burning releases the same type of vapor, it's just not as visible. We all smell this vapor when we are making the candle.
