coconut
I notice these burn hotter than a similar wick without the SP but I have not been able to find a definition for these two letters. Thank you!

awickedscent
I think it means single ply. I could be wrong though
jbement
I have an older Candlewic catalog that I was going through and it listed two types of paper core for the 34-40 material - regular paper and special paper, so I suspect the SP stands for Special Paper.(There are similar listings for other cores - Zinc, Special Zink and Regular Zink, Cotton and Special Cotton.)John
topofmurrayhill
It means special.I don't know what's special about those sizes, but they have them in zinc, paper and cotton -- so it's not the paper. If I recall the charts correctly, the SP always has a higher burn rate than the regular wick with the same numbers.
