PSPjen
I have a heart pillar mold from peaks (3 3/4 x 3 11/16 x 3). I have tried the suggested flat braid 18 and 24, (using 1343 wax with stearic, fo, dye) I am getting a good melt pool with the 24, but it of course is just in the middle of the pillar. My question is should the rounded tops of the heart or the bottom point of the heart not melt? I haven't burned the whole candle, but it seems like it will tunnel somewhat. Just wanted to make sure that was normal, or see if I needed to wick up or double wick......TIA!Jen
fredron
There is no way you will wick that shape to burn completely. You will always have a round melt pool, so the tops of the heart and the point on the bottom will remain.Fredron
