Darbla
'Nantucket Briar' is on my wish list. What do you think of it? How would you describe it? One of the reviews on the WSP site says it's 'Sexy, exotic, musky, patchouli with floral notes', and I just didn't picture an FO named 'Nantucket Briar' like that! What is different between the WSP one and the NG one? What do you like better about the NG one?Darbla
evesorto
It's a floral.....maybe the type of floral that you would expect to smell if you walked into a little botique that sold shabby chic pink and white floral bedding and vanities painted white.......hthEve
grama
I have the original Nantucket Briar I got from WSP and I absolutely love it. They have d/c it though and now have the 2004 version. I have it but have not put it in wax or anything yet. Emailed NG and asked them which version it was and got reply today and she did not know. Just said they had carried it for 3-4 years. I had never noticed it on their list of fo's. If they have had it that long it could be the original, though just a guess. I will probably try it when my original runs out. OOB the 2004 version smells just so-so, of course the true test is when it is put in wax. It is nothing like the original though - Crabtree & Evelyn. evesorto
After waiting four days, I relit the candles which did not throw for me.NG Angel and Straw Rhubarb. Angel is still weak but the Straw Rhubarb came to life. On a 1-10 scale, angel is still a 2 and strw rhubarb is now a 9 (still prefer AH).AH Lemon Chiffon and Van Sandalwood. The Lemon Chiffon (0) still did not throw at all. The Van Sandalwood is about the same (5).I'm going to try these three oils as tarts, to make sure that the problem is not with the oil itself (subtle). OOB none of them are weak?eve
