Mulberry Paper

Does anyone know where to find this by the roll in a selection of colors? I'm looking for the kind that can be torn & leave a ragged edge. I got really lucky a long time ago & bought some on deep discount at Hobby Lobby. I just figured out a use for it, but can't find it anywhere & no longer have labels on the rolls I have. By the sheet is too expensive, so really need rolls.

I've looked for it in the roll too but no luck thus far. I found plain Rice paper by the roll but it's just plain white. The handmade papers, no matter what are going to be pricey because they are handmade.:sad2:

I think I'm getting a little ahead of myself whith wanting Banana paper for wrapping soap bars. I've seen the prices on the internet and they are VERY pricey. Still, I just want it for soap bands and not a full wrap.

I'm not sure if you can get it by the roll but I get mine by the sheet at http://handmade-paper.us/

The sheets I get are 25"x37" and I cut them down myself. I use them to wrap individual bars of soap and can get 15 pieces out of a sheet. These are the sheets I get http://handmade-paper.us/page/CPO/PROD/tis/34-15-02

The ones I get are listed at $2.00 a sheet but I contacted Susan for bulk pricing.

Here's what she gave me:

$1.60/sheet for 50 or more

$1.45/sheet for 100 or more

They will also custom cut them for you for a fee.

I did a quick search out of my own curiosity and came up with this so far...

http://www.shopatron.com/product/part_number=TN-2753/310.0

Looks like a 32 ft roll, but I only see bleached and unbleached, no colors. I also don't see any ordering minimums or anything, but again it was just a quick scan of the site.

Here is another with colors. http://www.1stopsquare.com/emagination/springroll.html

There seem to be a lot of sites offering it, but again, i'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, so I don't know if i've helped or not, lol.

Has anyone ever tried making handmade paper? A friend of mine used a blender to make the pulp, but I don't know what the rest of the procedure was. It was so pretty tho. She used dried flowers on it too. Maybe a google search would find some instructions? HTH Ruby

Thanks yall -- as much as I love the idea of using this (for drawer sachets) the cost & availability has pulled me back into reality. What I have is already quite unique, so I'm going to stop trying to reinvent the wheel ... for now! <grin> Handmade paper is just beautiful, but the LAST thing in the world I need is another time intensive process. Again, thanks for the help.

Susan.
