linnaete
Ok so I already make MP and Rebatching... I'd like to try my hand at doing CP soap, it just looks like so much fun! I bought most of my materials, and read up all about it. I just have one question:I bought a stainless steel pot at the store, but it's one of those that is coated with a layer of porcelain (the type that looks painted w/ spots). Just wondering if this would be OK to use? TIA!
eugenia
Not sure what the lye would do. You can use a plastic pail.
Roxanne
As long as there are no chips in the porcelain, it's fine. I have a large enamel/porcelain pot (solid blue instead of speckled) that I've used for years of soapmaking with no issues. Just run your hand around the inside of the pot to make sure it feels smooth all over.
linnaete
Great thanks! It's new, no chips or anything. I'll try it.. if not there's a really nice stainless 12qt at the store I've been eyeballing!
