  1. Just wondering if anyone here uses these regularly? I bought their sample pack, and had to use the whole 1oz bottle of peach to color 28oz of lotion. I tried to use them in my M&P soap too, and it was the same result. Is this normal? I usually use oxides and/or herbs for colorants, but wanted to try the more vivid liquid colorants. Are they all this diluted?
  2. Great thanks! It's new, no chips or anything. I'll try it.. if not there's a really nice stainless 12qt at the store I've been eyeballing!
  3. Ok so I already make MP and Rebatching... I'd like to try my hand at doing CP soap, it just looks like so much fun! I bought most of my materials, and read up all about it. I just have one question: I bought a stainless steel pot at the store, but it's one of those that is coated with a layer of porcelain (the type that looks painted w/ spots). Just wondering if this would be OK to use? TIA!
  4. Yup, you prolly just didn't wait long enough. Most of my candles will slightly recess from the metal as they cool. Between that and feeling how warm the outside is, I usually can tell when it's safe to remove em.
  5. I just ordered a bunch of large tart molds from glorybee foods.. I had no idea how huge they were. I think about 2.5oz EACH They're the regular round fluted kind, so not sure if that's what you're looking for
  6. Was it Madina or Madini? I'm not familiar with Madina, but Madini Talisman is near me, and they offer undiluted perfume oils. Very nice, but very expensive.
  7. I tried Bert's oils for the first time in my CB Advanced, and I must say I was very pleased with the results! Christmas Tree, Pumpkin Custard Spice and Creme Brulee all did very well.. Creme Brulee ohhh man it made me hungry! I've got Christmas Pear, Rose, Monkey Farts, Candy Cane and Raspberry curing now. Raspberry smelled REALLY good while pouring it! I made a few tarts with Exotic Teak, Green Tea, Bayberry and Cashmere too. The Bayberry and Cashmere were a little too strong for my taste, I don't think I'm a bayberry person. The Cashmere sort of reminded me of the Aveda Sapmoss shampoo, I wish I could get a dupe of that Exotic Teak is a sort of musky smell, but very nice and a little sweet - I think it grows on you. Can't wait to try some more!
  8. I've used the apricot seeds and strawberry seeds so far. I think that the strawberry seeds are less scratchy, but that's just me. I also have cranberry seeds waiting for me to try. You could try ground pumice as well...
  9. You should have no obligation to pay. They printed an ad for your company without even consulting you about it... Verbal agreements over the phone mean squat, not to mention you didn't know the fee before saying OK, and once you did you didn't like the terms and requested more information. Obviously they have a poor track record through the BBB, by using this unscrupulous angle to guilt people into paying their fees. To put a poorly reproduced picture of a website without any proofs and charge $200? What a joke! I just want to add on and say this: There's no way for the company to verify who they called and talked to. For all they know if could be your babysitter who agreed to the charge...
  10. I use herbco.com as well and I really like them, good prices
  11. I've also used the goat milk & honey and I love it... Leaves a powdery feel, not greasy, that I love

  13. I was looking into it not too long ago, it doesn't look very hard - just messy. Just need to make sure you have a tight clamping system and/or a container to pour the silicone into & around your item.
  14. It's nice! For some reason, reminds me of tiramisu
  15. I did a search and found some info on Tyler Candle dupes, but none of them have an answer about the scent "Diva". Just wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to get this one? Thanks!
  16. creativeilluminations.com sells sniffies (1/2 oz), they're on sale right now for $1.00 each.
  17. I have a sample of the asian amber here that I haven't tried yet. It smells like musky rainforest IMO, and for candles only. It's different.
  18. If you get the stamp made, you could just buy silicone and pour a silicone mold yourself.
  19. Not sure on the powder dye, but the wick pins, you just place the pins inside the mold and pour the wax in. Once hardened, remove the votive by the wick pin, turn upside down, and carefully "push" the candle off the pin. I find spraying the mold & wick pin with silicone spray to be helpful.
  20. I personally use tarts, but I've been looking into maybe getting a multi-cavity mold in mini shapes and putting those in a small bag to sniff.
  21. Monterey Bay Spice Co. (herbco.com) has bulk teas and tea bags
