Kingdom Creator
I was wondering if anyone could offer some insight. I just thought I perfected my bath bomb. I wanted a more moisturizing bomb so I substituted hard oils for my light oil and my bombs looked perfect except they really do not fizz they just kinda melt. I am thinking it is the density of the oil. Does anyone else have this problem?
Kingdom Creator
I figured out the problem. I was testing in water that was not warm enough. Because of the hard oils the water had to be at a certain temp. to start the fizzing action. In my bomb with light oils the temp doesn't matter.Kingdom Creator
CareBear
interesting. guess the had oils were keeping the components from contacting each other and/or the water.
Lifelace
I like to use both liquid and hard oils, I use just a bit less liquid oil and then finely grate cocoa butter and blend that in, I don't melt the hard oil. Works great. Melany
Meridith
I use a bit of mango butter in my bombs and have no problems. I halve the amount of the oils. I melt my mango butter down and add it to my fo and the other 1/2 oils - I love cherry kernel oil in my bombs. I then slowly add this liquid mixture to my dry mix while it is mixing on the KA.
