candleslh
I have rust dye chips and it takes so many to get it the right shade. What colors can I mix to get a good rust? Thank you!!
Vio
http://www.barnloftcandles.com/pryme_color_swatch_chart.html ? A few look rusty there. I'd say red and brown, with some yellow but very little. I never did candles (yet), but I have painted before and know the basics. You probably want to start with brown, then add some red, then a touch of yellow. If not dark enough, add some black as usual.

candleslh
Thanks you two. I tried orange, brown and a touch of red. It turned out perfect!
Vio
Oh yeah great idea using orange! Usually, I would just add the red and yellow, but easiest way to rust would make sense to use orange in candle making, since less dye is good for less chance at wick clogging. Good to hear you got the color figured out!
