3bees~1flower Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 i have been playing with my first peaks FO's...(sugar cookie...mmmmm!) on the bottle it says to add fo right before pouring....all the reading i have done says that it's best to add FO at a warmer temp...i have been adding it at 170-175*...i do 100% soy and pour very slushy....this wold not work to add right before pouring, obviously....so those that use soy and peaks...do you add your FO when the wax is hot? thanks! silkysoycreations Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 I don't use 100% soy (70/30 blend) but use Peak's oils and for my wax I add at 180 and stir at least 2min. (longer for heavier)...heat back up to my pouring temp of 190-200. Key is to make sure the oil binds with the wax so at least a couple of minutes of stirring is needed.
