trisha
Hello everyoneI'm trying to do some research before beginning my candle making journey. I want to save myself time, energy and money! Can someone please tell me what the difference is between flakes, pelets and solid bulk wax. What is the best and easiest to work with? Also the difference in paraffin and soy.Thank you
SatinDucky
Welcome to the board Not all waxes come in all forms. Your best bet is to decide on which wax/waxes you want to try first by thier properties. Well, unless you decide that you want pellets/flakes badly enough that you'll only try waxes that come in that form. There are very few, if any, paraffin waxes that don't come in slabs. As for paraffin vs. soy... it's a matter of opinion, any everyone has one. If you read through here, you'll find a few rather long debates on this issue. It's much like politics :undecided

SatinDucky
When it comes to wax, it's best to look for suppliers that are close to you. Unless money isn't a factor for you. Shipping costs on wax are a killer You can start here...http://www.candletech.com/links/Candle_Making_Supplies/
