anniez530
I was wondering how long is too long to wait to pour the 2nd pour on pillars. I poured several pillars 2 weeks ago and do to a family emergency was unable to finish (only did one pour). Would I still be albe to finish them now or do I need to remelt and start over???? :undecided TIA Andrea:D
topofmurrayhill
You can finish them up with wax at 195. Some people routinely do the 2nd pour after the first is completely set up. Just be careful not to pour down the side of your candle.
Alohagirl
I usually do my second pours long after the pillar has cooled. As Top said, if the repour is hot, it's not a problem. Also, if you've poked relief holes, the repour wax will get down inside the pillar and bond everything together.
anniez530
Oh good, I am so glad I won't have to start over. I did poke the relief holes too. Thank you so much:D Andrea
